Sean Finn
Sean grew up in the Midwest town of Urbandale, Iowa. It was there where he first found his love for music, technology, and life. Growing up, Sean was always interested in computers. From a young age, his parents would ask him questions about the family desktop, television, cellphones, and much more. But it wasn't until his senior year of high school that Sean knew what he wanted to do with his life. In his senior physics class, Sean was exposed to programming. His physics teacher was ahead of the times and wanted to start introducing programming into the school, but did not have enough support from the school board. Since they could not have a full class to teach programming, students enrolled in the physics class were required to create a few basic programs using Excel. Having done exceptionally well in these assignments, Sean's physics teacher asked him if he had ever considered pursuing a degree in computer or software engineering. This thought had never crossed his mind, but from that moment on, Sean knew what he wanted to pursue in his career. In Sean's free time, he enjoys performing in musical ensembles at Iowa State including the Iowa State University Cyclone Football "Varsity" Marching Band, Iowa State University Basketball Pep Band, Iowa State University Volleyball Pep Band, Cyclone Sound, Iowa State University Wind Ensemble, and the G.R.O.O.V.E. Drumline and Percussion club. Many weekends out of the year, Sean can be found at one of the many disc golf courses located around central Iowa playing in tournaments or just with his friends. During the more frigged months of the year, Sean enjoys watching movies, engaging in video games, and playing board games.
